And be NOT CONFORMED to this world: but BE ye TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)
'Conformed' means "to fashion one's self according to'. The Bible instructs not to fashion yourself according to the world. In other words, don't try to fit or blend in.
'Transformed' means 'metamorphose'. When you become a Child of God, there should be a change. You should no longer look like you're part of the world as you grow in Christ. The Holy Ghost in you will begin to make the change until you're transformed into HIS image. Don't resist His process.
As you become transformed, you will learn to discern (prove) what is good and acceptable in the eyes of God so youcan walk and pattern your life according to His perfect will.
