Does God Look Like Me?

I saw a man wearing a shirt that read "God looks like me"

We are striving to be like Jesus.

We are striving to be formed in His image.

But it is arrogance to make that bold of a statement.

God does not look like us.

He is a Holy God.

We are but sinful flesh and our righteousness is as filthy rags. Isaiah 64:6

"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in My Word, THEN are ye My disciples indeed;"  John 8:31

That word 'continue' means 'to stay in a place of expectancy'. (Strongs G3306)

As you read the Bible, stay in a place of expectancy....expecting for God to reveal things in His Word to you, to open your understanding, and to show you things you've never seen before.  Listen for His voice. What is the Spirit saying to the Church? To you?

If you continue to stay in a place of expectancy in His Word, THEN are you His Disciples indeed.

Faithfulness

My husband and I were discussing faithfulness the other day. As we talked, I was reminded of a time during pre-service prayer several years ago when I began to talk to God about faithfulness.

So many songs have been written about how faithful God has been to us....

He's Been Faithful to me

Great is Thy Faithfulness

and more

But what about our faithfulness to Him?

Are we being faithful to Him....

In prayer time?

In Bible reading?

In Church attendance?

In our giving?

In our obedience to His will, His ways?

In our time?

We want and need God to be faithful to us but are we being faithful to Him?

Lord Jesus,  convict us, stir us, and help us to be more faithful to You in every way so that one day we can hear you say,

"Well done, good and FAITHFUL servant....enter thou into the Joy of the Lord."

The Word and the Name

Revelation  19

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself.

13 And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called THE WORD OF GOD.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.

John 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD.

The same was in the beginning with God.

3 ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

10 He was in the world, and THE WORLD WAS MADE BY HIM, and THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on HIS NAME:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, AND DWELT AMONG US, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Isaiah 9

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Matthew 1

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt CALL HIS NAME JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.

Acts 4

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Acts 2

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Seeking the Lost

The entire chapter of Luke 15 is about searching after and returning the lost and the lost realizing how much better it was at the Father's House and returning.

Don't give up praying and reaching for the lost.

If you are the one who has walked away from God,  make the steps to return back Home.

We (the Church) love you and haven't stopped praying for you.

Jesus is calling for you.

We're watching anxiously and praying daily for your return.

Time is winding down.

Jesus is coming soon.

Come home.

Jesus and we are waiting for you with open arms.

Come home.

Do you know why I keep sharing the info I've been sharing?

To be controversial?

To be argumentative?

To push my personal view?

If you think that is the purpose, you are wrong!

Those who truly know me, know that is not my purpose or my heart.

There are lies being spread and believed.  It is a spirit of deception and strong delusion that is working subtly,  cunningly,  and slyly through the msm and social platforms.  Some are seeing it and catching it.  I hope you are too.

A lie told long enough  (especially so slyly as I've seen "reporters" do) will eventually be believed and received as truth.

The Bible says the devil is the Father of lies. If you're believing and receiving those lies as truth, you're listening to the wrong voice.

The Bible warns in 2 Thess 2 against believing a lie.

Stay prayerful and stay consistent in Bible reading. Put on the whole armor of God so you will be able to withstand the wiles (trickery) of the devil (Eph 6). And turn off the msm so you can clearly hear the voice of God over the noise of this world.

Jesus Corrected Alot of False Teachings

Jesus corrected alot of false teachings and concepts in Matthew 5.

Man thought and taught one way.

While God's Word teaches another.

Make sure you are following and living God's way.

There is a way that seems right unto man, but....

21 - ye have heard that it was said... but I say unto you....

27 - ye have heard that it was said... but I say unto you....

31 - it hath been said....but I say....

33 - ye have heard that it was said... but I say unto you....

38 - ye have heard that it was said... but I say unto you....

43 - ye have heard that it was said... but I say unto you....

Romans Road to Salvation?

Romans Road to Salvation?

Some teach or adhere to the belief that you can follow the Romans Road to Salvation to be saved.

Was Paul contradicting Jesus in his writings?

He would be if he is instructing that all we have to do is confess and believe in order to be saved.

Jesus said in Mark 16:16

He that believeth AND IS BAPTIZED shall be saved.

Jesus also said in John 3 that we MUST be BORN AGAIN of WATER (Baptism) and of SPIRIT (being filled with the Holy Ghost).

Jesus continued on to say, "Marvel not (don't be astonished) that I said unto thee, ye MUST BE BORN AGAIN."

If Jesus taught we MUST be BORN AGAIN

Yet teach and follow Paul's letter to the Romans to just confess and believe on Jesus

We have contradictions going on.

Apostle Paul was not writing to the unsaved when he sent his letter to those in Rome.  He was writing to THE CHURCH in Rome - those who are already saved.

To know how to be saved, we read and follow Jesus' teachings in the Gospels and the Book of Acts, which is the birth of the Church.

Romans through Jude are letters of instruction TO THE SAVED instructing them how to live godly and Holy in this present world.

Paul knew and taught there is more to Salvation than just believing.

We find that evidenced in Acts 19 when he asked, "Have you received the Holy Ghost SINCE you believed?" Then he proceeded on to RE-BAPTIZE them in the NAME OF JESUS.

There is no Romans Road to Salvation.

Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?

Have you been baptized in the NAME of JESUS...the only name under heaven given among men whereby we MUST be saved? (Acts 4:12)

If you haven't yet, why delay?

Obey Jesus today and don't be astonished that He said we MUST be BORN AGAIN.

BY THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST

BY THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST

...doth this man stand here before you whole.

Neither is there SALVATION in any other:

for THERE IS NONE OTHER NAME

under heaven given among men,

WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED.

ACTS 4:10,12

And he COMMANDED them

to be BAPTIZED

IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.

Acts 10:48

When they heard this,

they were BAPTIZED

in the NAME of the LORD JESUS.

Acts 19:5

Then Peter said unto them,

REPENT

and BE BAPTIZED

every one of you

in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST

for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:38

There is salvation in no other NAME

Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not names

They are titles.

JESUS is the name

Peter knew it

The other Disciples knew it

That's why there was not an argument when Peter stood up and told EVERY ONE to be baptized in the NAME OF JESUS.

Acts 19 shows us that it does matter how we are baptized. It's important enough that they RE-BAPTIZED certain disciples who had not been baptized correctly.

Because there is salvation in no other name!

Have you been baptized in Jesus name?

Thank God for Pastors

Posted to fb 10-7-21

Thank God for preachers who tell us what we need to hear, not what we want to hear!

In this day and time, it is unpopular to preach/teach anything that brings conviction, makes someone squirm in their seat, or reveals that the way they are living is sinful.

Too many have the misconception that Church is a place to come to be entertained and hear motivational preaching.  They want to hear mainly about the love of God and what God can do for them, but they do not want to hear that this Holy God also requires true repentance with godly sorrow and forsaking sinful ways.

They'll excuse their sin and say, "God understands." That incorrect way of thinking is contrary to Scripture.

If you have a Pastor who preaches against sin, thank God for him! If he preaches it straight and tight, it's not because he's trying to be mean or controlling.  It's because not only is your eternal soul at stake, but his as well if he ceases to warn against sin.

For all the Pastors and preachers who still stand for Truth and preach it straight despite opposition, we thank God for each of you!

Eze 3:17 - Son of man, I have made thee A WATCHMAN unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and GIVE THEM WARNING FROM ME.

Eze 3:18 - When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and THOU GIVEST HIM NOT WARNING, NOR SPEAKEST TO WARN THE WICKED from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; BUT HIS BLOOD WILL I REQUIRE AT THINE HAND.

Eze 3:19 - YET IF THOU WARN the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but THOU HAST DELIVERED THY SOUL.

Eze 3:20 - Again, WHEN A RIGHTEOUS MAN DOTH TURN FROM HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: BECAUSE THOU HAST NOT GIVEN HIM WARNING, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; BUT HIS BLOOD WILL I REQUIRE AT THINE HAND.

Eze 3:21 - Nevertheless IF THOU WARN the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; ALSO THOU HAST DELIVERED THY SOUL.

If our heart is not right we won't make it

"If our heart is not right

We will not make it!"

These words woke me out of my sleep.

God in His mercy is trying to warn us to get right with Him before it's too late.

Search your heart.

Repent of every sin.

Search thoroughly for EVERYTHING that needs to be cleaned out of your heart....

Any bitterness that is trying to take root

Hate, anger

Jealousy

Covetousness

Strife

Rebellion

Lust

Fornication,  adultery

Evil thoughts

Thefts

Lying, False witness

Blasphemies

Pride, haughtiness

Critical spirit,  Critical heart

Even overlooking or Ignoring Scripture just because it's not how "your Church" sees it or what "your religion" believes. If it's in the Bible and if Jesus taught it, we must follow it regardless of how we think it should be.

If our heart is not right, we won't make it!

If we haven't followed Jesus' instructions that we MUST be Born Again of water (Baptism in Jesus' Name) and of Spirit (receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost as they did on the Day of Pentecost), we won't be able to Enter or See the Kingdom of God. (John 3, Acts 2:4, Acts 2:38, Luke 24:47) We won't make it!

We must be born again and we must cleanse our hearts of every sinful way!

Jesus is coming back for a Bride who has made herself ready and is without spot or wrinkle.

Don't think that God will ignore, wink at, and overlook things His Word warns against and condemns.

If our heart is not right

We WON'T make it!
