Romans Road to Salvation?
Some teach or adhere to the belief that you can follow the Romans Road to Salvation to be saved.
Was Paul contradicting Jesus in his writings?
He would be if he is instructing that all we have to do is confess and believe in order to be saved.
Jesus said in Mark 16:16
He that believeth AND IS BAPTIZED shall be saved.
Jesus also said in John 3 that we MUST be BORN AGAIN of WATER (Baptism) and of SPIRIT (being filled with the Holy Ghost).
Jesus continued on to say, "Marvel not (don't be astonished) that I said unto thee, ye MUST BE BORN AGAIN."
If Jesus taught we MUST be BORN AGAIN
Yet teach and follow Paul's letter to the Romans to just confess and believe on Jesus
We have contradictions going on.
Apostle Paul was not writing to the unsaved when he sent his letter to those in Rome. He was writing to THE CHURCH in Rome - those who are already saved.
To know how to be saved, we read and follow Jesus' teachings in the Gospels and the Book of Acts, which is the birth of the Church.
Romans through Jude are letters of instruction TO THE SAVED instructing them how to live godly and Holy in this present world.
Paul knew and taught there is more to Salvation than just believing.
We find that evidenced in Acts 19 when he asked, "Have you received the Holy Ghost SINCE you believed?" Then he proceeded on to RE-BAPTIZE them in the NAME OF JESUS.
There is no Romans Road to Salvation.
Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?
Have you been baptized in the NAME of JESUS...the only name under heaven given among men whereby we MUST be saved? (Acts 4:12)
If you haven't yet, why delay?
Obey Jesus today and don't be astonished that He said we MUST be BORN AGAIN.
