What do the Scriptures reveal concerning the Holy Ghost?

THE HOLY GHOST 

this SIGNIFYING, 

that THE WAY INTO THE HOLIEST OF ALL 

was not yet made manifest, 

while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

Heb 9:8

* The Holy Ghost signifies the way into the Holiest of All.

He that BELIEVETH ON ME, 

as the scripture hath said, 

out of his belly SHALL flow 

RIVERS OF LIVING WATER.

(But this spake He of the SPIRIT, 

which THEY THAT BELIEVE ON HIM

SHOULD RECEIVE: 

for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; 

BECAUSE that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

John 7:38-39

*Jesus taught those that believe SHOULD receive the Holy Ghost.  

He that

BELIEVETH and is 

BAPTIZED

shall be saved; 

but he that believeth not shall be damned.

And THESE SIGNS SHALL FOLLOW

THEM THAT BELIEVE; 

In my name shall they cast out devils; 

they SHALL SPEAK WITH NEW TONGUES;

Mark 16:16-17

*Jesus taught that those that believe AND are baptized shall be saved.  

And that there are signs that shall follow them that believe... They shall speak with new tongues (which is the evidence of a person receiving the Holy Ghost. We find this evidence throughout the book of Acts.)

These are only a small portion of what the scriptures say concerning the Holy Ghost (which is the Spirit of Christ).

Romans 8:9

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, 

if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. 

-->Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, 

he is none of His.<--

Romans 8:10

And if Christ be in you, 

the body is dead because of sin; 

but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Romans 8:11

But if the Spirit of Him 

that raised up Jesus from the dead 

dwell in you, 

He that raised up Christ from the dead 

shall also quicken your mortal bodies 

by HIS SPIRIT THAT DWELLETH IN YOU.

* the Holy Ghost shows that we belong to Christ.

* the Holy Ghost signifies (indicates, reveals) the way into the Holiest of All... The place where God's glory dwelt. (Heb 9:8)

*Jesus taught that we must believe AND be baptized in order to be saved AND that the sign of speaking in tongues SHALL FOLLOW those that believe. (Mark 16:16-17)

*Romans 8 reveals the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Christ dwelling in us.
